Swim freestyle only with your legs, with a kickboard

Working with a Kickboard will allow you to focus on your legs to develop the muscles in your lower body and improve your leg kick technique.

Follow these instructions:

  • Put your fingers through the holes in the Kickboard and hold it tight with your arms extended and relaxed;
  • Keep your hips high and kick properly with your legs properly making sure your feet do not come out of the water;
  • You can either hold your head above the water or keep it underwater to raise your hips.

There are various ways of perfecting your leg kick: short, hard sets will improve your speed and strength, longer sets will improve your stamina.
