Freestyle arms with a Swim Keel

Swim freestyle arms only, with a Swim Keel

The aim of using a Swim Keel is to keep your body aligned to eliminate any excessive sideways movement.

When using a Swim Keel, focus primarily on its position: the stable position is with the larger part pointing upwards.

When swimming freestyle with a Swim Keel, do not kick too hard with your legs, keep your body relaxed and adjust its position properly.

Here is the best way to use it:

  • Place the Swim Keel between your thighs This will help prevent your legs from sinking and allow you to focus more carefully on your head position.
  • Keep your head at an angle of approximately 45° underwater while focusing on the blue line on the bottom of the pool. This will create less drag and allow you to swim faster.
